4. Robert⁴ Soule (Jonathan³, Rowland², George¹) was born in Dartmouth, MA February 3, 1797. Robert died November 25, 1885 in Flushing, Genesee Co, MI, at 88 years of age.

He married Mary Pratt. Mary was born 1801. Mary died September 2, 1890 in Flushing, Genesee Co, MI, at 89 years of age. 7. Robert Soule (1), fifth son of Jonathan (3) and Sarah (Hatfield) Soule, born Feb. 3, 1797, probably in Dartmouth, Mass. Was carried by his parents to Dutchess County, N. Y., when a child. He married MARY PRATT and lived several years in Danby, Tompkins County, N. Y., where he cleared a farm and erected well arranged farm buildings. His son John went to live with his parents and care for them in their declining years, but sold the estate and removed to Flushing, Genesee County, Mich., where he died Nov. 25, 1885, aged 89 years. His wife died there Sept. 2, 1890, aged 89 years. There are inscribed markers at their graves and a family monument on the lot bearing the inscription: "Our Father and Mother are gone; they lie beneath the sod. Dear parents, though we miss you much, we know you rest with God." The Quaker records in Dutchess County, N. Y., show that Robert Soule was disowned by the society, Jan. 19, 1803 because of his "being out of plainness and attending a place of diversion." He was only a small lad at this time.

Robert Soule and Mary Pratt had the following children:

8 iv. John Soule was born 1820.

9 v. Stephen Soule was born 1821. Stephen died April 21, 1842 in Willsville, NY, at 20 years of age.

+ 10 vi. George F. Soule was born June 1837.

11 vii. William Soule was born 1843. William died October 23, 1897 at 54 years of age.
