The first place we came to was the ruins of the hospital San Ant\u00f3n (PRS-45). Lots of carvings around the doorway although they are in pretty rough shape. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-181431.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-181431.jpg\" alt=\"20130422-181431.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-181448.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-181448.jpg\" alt=\"20130422-181448.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe next town is Castrojeriz (PRS-46). We had lunch at a bar next to Ex-colegiata de Santa Mar\u00eda del Manzano. It being Monday nothing was open to look around, but here are two of the entrances. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-182124.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-182124.jpg\" alt=\"20130422-182124.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-182136.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-182136.jpg\" alt=\"20130422-182136.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a>High on the hill above Castrojeriz is a castle which has history back to Julius Caesar or Pompey and later Visigoths, Moors and Christians. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-182711.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-182711.jpg\" alt=\"20130422-182711.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a>On the way out if town, we passed the Iglesia de Santiago de Los Cabelleros and were reminded of our own mortality. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-183014.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-183014.jpg\" alt=\"20130422-183014.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAfter leaving Castrojeriz we were confronted with the big hill. 12% grade on the way up and 18% on way down. Spectacular views from up here though. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-183350.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-183350.jpg\" alt=\"20130422-183350.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-183434.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theboaks.com\/camino\/wp-content\/uploads\/20130422-183434.jpg\" alt=\"20130422-183434.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a>One thing I have noticed is that Don Quijote would have plenty of opponents here&#8230;Every hill has a large number of wind turbines.
